From 19th to 22nd April, KOELIS proudly participated with its Japanese partner AMCO to the 106th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Urological Association that was held in Kyoto
The Prostate Care company introduced its innovative solutions that are transforming current prostate cancer management paradigms: KOELIS Trinity®, KOELIS MrDraw®, KOELIS Apollo®, KOELIS Katty®.
|Simultaneously to the exhibition, Prof Roland Van Velthoven (Institut Jules Bordet, Brussel) shared his expertise on Focal therapy for localized prostate cancer. On this 1st day of congress, he presented his work on HIFU ablation therapy with the combination of KOELIS 3D Mapping and EDAP Focal One system. Among the key points addressed during his talk, Prof Van Velthoven underlined that Random biopsies can no longer be accepted, targeted biopsies should be combined to framing and systematic biopsies to create a true mapping of tumor burden.||
|The Kyoto International Center conference room was crowded on April 21st. More than 150 attendees passed through the gates to participate in the educational seminars conducted by Prof Osamu Ukimura (Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine) and Prof Van Velthoven.
In a first part, Prof Ukimura explained, with illustred results, the value of 3D Prostate Cancer mapping and reminded the necessity of the Organ Based Tracking® for accurate diagnostic and quality control.
Based on the KOELIS 3D Mapping value, Prof Van Velthoven continued the seminar by presenting his first validation of the in vivo abacus using KOELIS Katty ®. And to conclude that the MicroWave energy delivered by the KOELIS Katty® is repeatable, controllable and has a low tissue dependence.
