Speaker: Christopher Dixon, MD – Board-certified Urologist at Good Samaritan Hospital, NY (USA)

MRI-Ultrasound fusion for prostate biopsy has become essential at expert centers. Literature clearly shows its added value in detecting more significant cancer than random biopsy. Using various fusion technologies, early adopters have been focused on targeting the PIRADS target and surrounding tissue.

In this webinar, Dr Dixon will introduce another dimension of fusion biopsy, made possible with the precision technology: 3D mapping of core location and its use in patient management and longitudinal disease monitoring. Using the appropriate MRI sequence while performing the biopsy to further improve accuracy, features like 3D cartography, framing biopsy, Second Look fusion, enable new pathways to individualized diagnosis and treatment.

Many urologists have found MR fusion biopsy using transperineal access and local anesthesia may be feasible, another important and practical innovation for patient safety.
